♥ Hello Kitty sightings at Kohls
Posted by Crystal - 15/04/09 at 06:04:59 pm
Last week I borrowed my mom’s small camera for a trip to Kohls so I could take photos of all the Hello Kitty items I came across. I was very surprised to see that they actually do carry a lot of things. I think I got almost everything besides a bottle of Hello Kitty body lotion (a sales associate was standing right there.) Nevertheless, I still got a lot of photos. Check it out!

Girl’s hair clips. Aren’t they so cute?

♥ Sanrio at Uwajimaya Asian specialty supermarket

My good internet pal Janine sent in these pictures of her and boyfriend Donny posing with Sanrio goodies at an Asian market. She says:
From our trip to Uwajimaya Asian Grocery this week - took these with you in mind. The bag I’m holding was like $80 but gorgeous!

That is a gorgeous bag!

Apparently, Donny got a little excited when he saw all that wonderful Sanrio goodness—and why wouldn’t he!

This picture made my day. I don’t know who is cuter; the plushes or Donny. All I know is that I want that leopard print Hello Kitty plush!
And this is why I need to go to an Asian market. Thanks for the photos Janine!
♥ Hello Kitty car emblem
Posted by Crystal - 15/02/09 at 11:02:09 pm

My friend Whitney sent me this picture the other day, she said she saw the car and thought of me so she snapped a photo. How sweet! This is actually the first time I’ve ever seen this particular Hello Kitty car emblem—I love how it makes it look like Hello Kitty is the auto maker! (I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case in a few years.)
After she sent me the photo I began searching for the emblem on the net and found it here. (Obviously the one on the car is worn and a lot dirtier.) I think the emblem is a great way to represent the kitty on your vehicle if you don’t want to go overboard.
♥ Badtz Maru Street Art
Posted by Crystal - 11/02/09 at 10:02:47 pm
I originally intended to post some Hello Kitty street art, but bad Badtz hardly gets any love so I’m posting this photo instead.

I added the brick texture by the way.
This awesome Badtz Maru graffiti art is actually on the outside of Miss Mae’s House of Beauty located in Santa Cruz, CA. So maybe it’s not “real” street art, but it’s still pretty rad. I want some Sanrio characters painted on the outside of my salon! Photo taken by Shannon. She says she wishes it was Hello Kitty, but I think maybe Badtz fits into the street art scene a little bit better.
♥ Claw games full of Hello Kitties

Being the claw game (or UFO catcher) master that I am, these photos make me want to visit Japan even more than before! I can’t even recall a time when I saw a Hello Kitty or Sanrio toy in a claw machine, yet they seem to be in them everywhere overseas. I’ll need to save money just for playing them!
